Help Preserve Quarter Horse Heritage


The Quarter Horse Heritage Project is working to create a carefully controlled AQHA Appendix pathway for historically excluded Quarter Horse bloodlines with documented AQHA ancestry.
 

Meaningful change begins with education, conversation, and participation. Breeders, owners, competitors and supporters of the American Quarter Horse are encouraged to learn about the proposal, share it with others and make their voices heard.
 

Before supporting the effort, we encourage you to understand exactly what is being proposed.

The Historical Quarter Horse Bloodline Pathway would not provide automatic AQHA registration to APHA horses. Eligibility would be based upon documented AQHA ancestry, verified parentage and clearly defined registration requirements, with qualifying offspring entering through the AQHA Appendix Registry.
